Account Manager
Job Description
A superb, working opportunity for a mid-senior Account Manager/Traffic Controller at Creative Chinuch, the creative agency focused on Jewish Education, based in Johannesburg, South Africa. 
We require the manager to come into the office but it may be partly remote. 
We are ideally looking for someone with brand and advertising comms experience. 
We are prepared to pay market related rates on a sliding scale based on commitment, talent, skill and experience within the range of R10,000 and R25,000. ​​​​​​​

We’re looking for someone who displays a keen interest in new business opportunities with some entrepreneurial flair. 
You’ll work closely with the rest of the team, and will be responsible for leading, inspiring, and driving the client service portfolio to provide excellent service and manage the delivery of an exceptional creative product that meets and exceeds the clients’ expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Focus
- Timeous job management,
- Clear knowledge of client contract / retainer / in-scope / out-of-scope,
- Manage scope of work (SOW) and work in progress (WIP),
- Manage profitability of time and hard costs of each job,
- Timeous and accurate billing processes, preparation, and presentation of accounts and that invoices are checked against quotes and budgets
- Job management – opening, controlling, and ensuring all CE’s / POs are billed before closure of jobs
- Prevention of errors – financial loss control
- Embrace the ethos of cost control and income growth
- A monthly target will be set in terms of billings to be achieved.

Client Relations
- Embrace our culture of client “business growers” instead of “brief takers”
- Display entrepreneurial thinking (we don’t subscribe to the ‘suit only’ idea)
- Display pro-activeness and passion by researching the challenges clients face and disseminating interesting pieces relevant to client / creative / strategy
- Ensure optimal engagement with strategy and creative counterparts
- Build strong client relationships at the highest level
- Seek existing client development opportunities
- Present a united stance on agency recommendations (i.e., support and endorse agency output)
- Creating climate to promote the generation of new ideas
- Ensure that all due dates are met without exception.

Workflow & Output
- Display keen interest in conceptual work and the development of campaigns
- Writing of inspiring and accurate briefs
- Conduct the origination of job bags and creative briefs
- Take the initiative in completing tasks which will assist the team
- Develop and maintain critical paths per job or project
- Stay in full control of all steps of the job path
- Ensure information or products for briefs, photography shoots and clients are sourced
- Embrace a culture of solution seeking
- Take ownership for agency output (media recommendations/schedules; creative includes scripts, lasers, storyboards, concepts; production includes print, quotes, electronic material).
- Assess and ensure that the work meets or exceeds the brief
- Check all elements and action any revisions required prior to presentation to client
- Present a united stance on agency recommendations (i.e., support and endorse agency output)

Management Reporting
- Where required adhere to all reporting requirements both internally and externally
- Compile regular work in progress reports
- Ensure that contact, status, minutes, marketing communication and competitive summary reports are compiled and distributed timeously
- Conduct case study reporting where required.

Process Excellence
- Maintenance of all departmental systems and processes as aligned to the business strategy
- Suggest business process improvement within the department
- Adhere and follow all required business systems and processes
- Adhere and ensure adherence to all IT related processes and requirements.

Leadership & People
- Interact with peers and seniors in a collaborative and respectful manner
- Develop and maintain good relationships with all internal departments and suppliers
- Supportive role to other divisions during pressure periods
- Loyal support of the team with upfront and open communication.

Requirements
The successful candidate must have/be:
- Matric
- Computer literacy in all Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet
- Production knowledge
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Sound administration and coordination skills
- Self, time, and people management skills
- Experience in the articulation and writing of job cards and creative briefs
- Good listener – someone who hears the client
- Good natured, gentle
- Business acumen
- You will be provided with a computer
- Own transport – a must.

Advantages
- Tertiary education or advertising experience
- Agency experience is essential
- Financial client experience – preferable
- At least 2 years' working experience in a marketing, advertising, or communications field
- Passion for Jewish education

We're Creative Chinuch, a creative company (founded in Melbourne, Australia 2017) focused on developing educational material and other projects. We're looking for a super fantastic graphic designer to join our team.
What to Expect
A graphic designer works on a variety of products and activities, such as websites, advertising, books, magazines, posters, computer games, product packaging, exhibitions and displays, corporate communications and corporate identity, i.e. giving organisations a visual brand.
As a graphic designer you'll need to listen to clients and understand their needs before making design decisions.
You'll work to a brief agreed with the client, creative director or account manager, and will develop appropriate creative ideas and concepts for the client's objectives.
The work demands creative flair, up-to-date knowledge of industry software and a professional approach to time, costs and deadlines.
Responsibilities
Your typical responsibilities as a graphic designer include:

- meeting clients or account managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the job.
- estimating the time required to complete a job and providing quotes for clients.
- developing design briefs that suit the client's purpose.
- thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design.
- using innovation to redefine a design brief within time and cost constraints.
- presenting finalised ideas and concepts to clients or account managers.
- working with a range of media and keeping up to date with emerging technologies.
- proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work.
- demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches and working on layouts ready for print.
- commissioning illustrators and photographers.
- working with printers, copywriters, photographers, stylists, illustrators, other designers, account executives, web developers and marketing specialists.
